UK prices are £69.99 for Standard and £89.99 for Ultimate ($79.99 / $99.99 in the US). The Independent · TechRadar
What the extra £20 gets you
According to Rockstar Support, the Ultimate Edition upgrade includes things like a '95 Grotti Cheetah, the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, personalised weapon variants, extra clothing styles, mod shops, a salon, a tattoo parlour, a boat, a Classic Car Collection and more. Rockstar says these unlock across the story chapters, not all at once. Rockstar Support
Things worth knowing before you decide
- You can upgrade later. The Ultimate upgrade is sold separately, so you can start on Standard and decide after a few hours.
- There's no physical Ultimate Edition. It's digital only (physical owners can buy the upgrade).
- Everyone who buys before 20 November gets the Vintage Vice City Pack. Digital buyers also get a month of GTA+.
The debate 👇
- Which are you getting, and why?
- Do story-chapter unlocks make Ultimate feel more "worth it" than a dump of items on day one?
- Is £69.99 fair for a game this size? (The NYT preview mentioned an 80-hour playthrough. The Verge)

Ultimate for me, mostly for the '95 Cheetah if I'm honest. I like that it unlocks through the story chapters instead of dumping it all on day one. If you're on the fence, Standard plus the upgrade later seems the safe move, and the Vintage Vice City Pack comes either way as long as you buy before 20 Nov.
