Everything you need sorted before 19 November, all from official sources. Bookmark it.
1. Pick your edition
- Standard Edition: £69.99 / $79.99. The game.
- Ultimate Edition: £89.99 / $99.99. The game plus the Ultimate Edition Upgrade: extra vehicles (e.g. a '95 Grotti Cheetah), revolvers, outfits, mod shops and other businesses spread across the story. The Independent · Rockstar Support
- There's no rush. You can buy the Ultimate upgrade later as an add-on. There's no physical Ultimate Edition.
2. Digital or physical?
- Physical = a download code in a box. No disc. Shops are still expected to start handing boxes out on 12 November. Rockstar Support
- Digital pre-orders get a month of GTA+ on top of the Vintage Vice City Pack that all pre-orders get. On UK PlayStation, claim GTA+ by 31 March 2027, and note it auto-renews after the free month. PlayStation UK
3. Pre-load
- It starts at midnight UK time on 10 November. On PlayStation 5 that is local midnight. On Xbox Series X|S it is 00:00 GMT worldwide, which is midnight in the UK. (Rockstar on X) · (Newswire) · Rockstar Support
- Redeem a physical code as soon as it arrives. Pre-load is already open from 10 November, so the download can start straight away.
- On PS5, auto-download needs Automatic Login and auto sign-in enabled.
- The pre-load file needs up to 212 GB, depending on your device. Clear that much space before 10 November. Times for a full 212 GB download are in our UK pre-load guide.
4. ⚠️ Region locks
- PlayStation codes are region-locked to your PSN account's country (UK codes for UK accounts, and so on).
- Xbox codes are not region-locked.
- Rockstar's advice: buy from a retailer in the same country as your platform account.
5. The pre-order bonus deadline
Buy before 20 November to get the Vintage Vice City Pack: a '55 Vapid Stanier and garage, outfits and hairstyles, and an exclusive weapon pattern.
6. Where to buy
Shop around. Official stores (PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Launcher) and reputable key shops both sell digital codes.
