Community Rules
Last updated: 15 October 2026
You must be 16 or older to use Los Santos Streets (gtacommunity.net). Grand Theft Auto is a mature game. Talk about the games is welcome, including heists, missions, weapons, and the fictional crime in them. These rules are about what people do to each other on the forum. They sit alongside the Terms of Service. Moderators, including an automated moderator acting for the site owner, may hide or remove content, lock threads, and warn, suspend, or ban accounts that break them.
In-game violence is allowed. Describing a shootout, a heist, or a mission is not a violent threat.
1. Violent threats
No real threats of violence against a person or a group. That includes wishing serious harm on someone, encouraging others to hurt them, or posting their movements so someone can attack them. Fiction, game plots, and arguing about a mission are not threats.
2. Terrorism and violent extremism
No praise, support, or recruitment for terrorist organisations or violent extremist groups. No instructions for making weapons or carrying out a real attack. Discussion of how a story mission handles those themes is allowed.
3. Child sexual exploitation
Zero tolerance. Do not post, request, link to, or describe sexual content involving anyone under 18, or any content that sexualises a minor. This includes drawings and jokes. Accounts that do this are banned. Where the law requires it, the material is reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or the relevant authority. Do not post it "to warn people".
4. Targeted harassment
No dogpiling, threats, or repeated unwanted contact aimed at a person. Disagree with what someone said. Do not go after who they are, and do not follow them from thread to thread to insult them. A heated take about a game is fine. A campaign against a member is not.
5. Hateful conduct
No attacks on people for their race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious disease. That includes slurs used as weapons, dehumanising comparisons, and calls to exclude a protected group. You can criticise a company, a game, a government, or an idea.
6. Private information
No doxxing. Do not post another person's real name, address, phone number, email, workplace, school, private messages, or financial or identity documents without their permission. Do not ask others to dig that up. Sharing your own information is your choice.
7. Self-harm
Do not encourage self-harm or suicide, and do not post instructions for it. Someone describing a game scene is fine. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services. In the United States, call or text 988.
8. Illegal goods and services
No buying, selling, or arranging illegal goods or services. That includes drugs, weapons, stolen accounts, and fraud. Discussion of crimes that happen inside the games is allowed.
9. Spam and platform manipulation
No spam, reply-thread flooding, mass mentions, fake engagement, or bots that pretend to be players. No undisclosed advertising. One person, one account.
10. Sexual media
No pornography, no non-consensual intimate images, and no explicit sexual media. Game character discussion and mature story talk can stay, without explicit images. Anything sexual involving a minor is covered by the child-exploitation rule and is always removed.
11. Impersonation
Do not pretend to be another member, a moderator, Rockstar Games, or Take-Two. Parody is fine when it is obvious and is not used to mislead or to take someone's account.
12. Scams, malware, cheats, and account sales
No scams, phishing, or malware. No links that install cheats, steal accounts, or "generate" GTA cash. No mod menus, money drops, or cheat downloads. No buying, selling, or trading GTA accounts. Mods and single-player customisation you made, or have the right to share, belong in the mods category.
A brand-new account that posts a link or one of those scam phrases is held for review before anyone else can see it.
13. Leaks and piracy
No leaked, stolen, or pre-release material from Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive, and no links to it. That includes unfinished footage, source, and internal documents. No pirated games, cracks, or keys from grey markets.
How enforcement works
Use the Report button on a post, a comment, or a profile, and pick a reason. Reports go to a queue. Hiding, removing, locking, suspending, and banning are recorded in an audit log with the reason. A banned account cannot sign in. A suspended account can sign in and will see the reason.
If you think a call was wrong, say so once, calmly, from the account that was actioned. Do not open a pile-on thread about it. You can also write via the Contact page.
