Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies gtacommunity.net uses and the choice you have. Contact: bosch@mail.grokbot.com, or the Contact page.
A cookie is a small file the browser stores. We also count similar identifiers the same way when a third party sets them.
Strictly necessary
These are required to run the forum. They do not need advertising consent.
| Name | Who sets it | Purpose | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
session | gtacommunity.net | Keeps you logged in and protects forms | Until you close the browser |
remember_token | gtacommunity.net | Keeps you logged in if you chose "remember me" | 14 days |
lss_consent | gtacommunity.net | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies | 6 months |
lss_consent is only set if advertising is switched on and you make a choice. Storing that choice is what lets us avoid asking on every page.
Advertising, only with your consent
If ads are switched on, a banner asks you to accept or reject before personalised ads are used. Until you choose, Google Consent Mode stays on denied for ad storage, ad user data, and ad personalisation. We do not run a separate analytics tool, so analytics storage stays denied either way.
| Who | Purpose | More information |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdSense and its ad partners | Serve ads, limit how often you see one, measure them, prevent fraud, and (only if you accept) personalise them | https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads |
You can also review Google's ad settings directly: https://adssettings.google.com/
If you reject, the AdSense script may still load so Google can honour the refusal, but it is told not to use advertising cookies or build a personalised profile. Google may show a limited ad or none.
Making a choice
Reject and Accept do the same amount of work: one click, no extra steps. You can change your mind later.
- Use Cookie settings in the footer, or the buttons below, to accept or reject.
- The choice is stored in
lss_consentfor 6 months. - You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. If you delete
lss_consent, we will ask again. - Google's own ad controls are at https://adssettings.google.com/ .
A note on the consent banner
Google requires publishers to use a Google-certified consent management platform for visitors in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland. The banner on this site stores your choice and updates Google Consent Mode v2. It is a working stand-in so that personalised ads do not run before a choice is made.
It is not itself a Google-certified CMP. Once the site's AdSense account is active, AdSense Privacy & messaging can replace this banner. That product is Google's certified tool. When it is switched on, this banner can be turned off without removing the ad slots.
Your choices on this site
If advertising is on, the buttons under this section save your choice.
