No official map has been published yet, but Rockstar has named and described six regions of Leonida, its take on Florida. Here's a quick tour. These are our summaries of Rockstar's descriptions, and there's a handy breakdown here.

🌆 Vice City. The neon heart. Rockstar pitches it as the sun-and-fun capital of America. Named spots include Ocean Beach (art deco hotels), Little Cuba and VC Port. Boobie Ike runs his empire here.

🏝️ Leonida Keys. A tropical island chain with beach bars, party boats and stunning (dangerous) waters. It's where Jason was working for local drug runners, and Brian Heder's home turf.

🐊 Grassrivers. A huge mangrove wetland. Rockstar's line is that the gators are the famous attraction, but deadlier things lurk. Airboat chases, anyone?

🛵 Port Gellhorn. A run-down stretch of coast: cheap motels, closed attractions, empty strip malls. Rockstar literally suggests a dirt bike.

🏭 Ambrosia. The industrial heartland. The Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, and a local biker gang provides… everything else.

⛰️ Mount Kalaga. A national park on the northern border with hunting, fishing and off-road trails, plus backwoods folk who really don't want the government around.

Ultimate Edition descriptions also name places like Shore Drive, Gambit Bay, Washington Beach, Watson Bay, Stockyard and Lake Leonida, without saying which region they're in. Rockstar Support

Rockstar told the NYT the map is about three times the playable area of RDR2. The Verge

Over to you 👇

  1. Which region are you exploring first, and why?
  2. Vice City veterans: what do you hope survived from the 2002 original? (Ocean Beach is back, at least.)
  3. Hunting and fishing at Mount Kalaga: RDR2 energy, or a waste of space in a GTA?
  4. Where do you think the biggest heist of the game happens?
