Not watched them back-to-back lately? Here's a timeline of everything Rockstar has officially shown, and what each video added. Rewatch them on Rockstar's GTA VI page.
Trailer 1: 4 December 2023 (1:31)
Our introduction to Lucia, Vice City, and a very online, very chaotic Leonida. It set the tone: neon, beaches, swamps, and social-media-style clips everywhere, plus the first hint that this would be a story about a criminal couple.
Trailer 2: 6 May 2025 (2:47)
It properly introduced Jason and gave Jason and Lucia their dynamic. Rockstar also rolled out character and location pages alongside it: Cal Hampton, Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest, Real Dimez, Raul Bautista and Brian Heder, plus the regions of Leonida. Gematsu
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look: 27 August 2026 (~27 min)
It premiered on Netflix, then hit Rockstar's YouTube six hours later (2am UK time on the 28th). PCMag The Verge described it as more atmosphere and story than mechanics deep-dive, but there were real gameplay glimpses:
- Jason shooting from a car while Lucia drives, then the reverse
- A mission with the two split across different floors (one in cover, one sneaking)
- A weapon wheel, boats, basketball, scuba diving, track racing and parachuting
- All footage captured on PS5. The Verge
Launch Trailer: 15 October 2026
It debuts Justice's "Flower in a Hurricane" (feat. Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard), captured in-game on PS5. GameSpot
